Capturing Confidence & Charm: A Dating Profile Session
Every once in a while, a portrait session comes along that’s as fun as it is inspiring. Recently, I had the pleasure of photographing a client who wanted fresh images for her dating profile—and let me just say, she absolutely owned every shot.
From the very first click, her warmth and confidence lit up the lens. In the close-up portrait, her brilliant smile and sparkling green eyes made it clear she’s someone who knows how to connect. It’s that perfect mix of approachable and magnetic—the kind of energy you want people to feel the moment they see your profile.
Then came the beach session, where she brought out her playful side. Relaxed in her favorite chair, sun-kissed and glowing, she radiated effortless charm. That natural confidence is exactly what makes dating profile photos stand out—it’s less about posing, and more about capturing personality in the moment.
And of course, we couldn’t wrap up without adding a bold, sporty twist. At the stadium, repping her team with pride, she showed off a fun-loving spirit that rounds out her story. Whether cheering on the sidelines or laughing with friends, this is someone who embraces life with enthusiasm.
What I love most about this session is how each photo tells a different side of her story:

Simply OC Photography started as a community outreach project by a mom who wanted to capture every moment of her daughters childhood adventures. In a volunteer effort to preserve memories of her daughters pre-k class experience Amy created a memory booklet for her daughters class. With permissions Amy photographed each student and created a general page for each student and called it a keepsake memory booklet. The parents liked the images and asked if they could purchase them for prints. Families sought Amy out and asked if she could take family portraits at specific locations some of which required a permit. However, some permits required a business licenses so, in December 2017 Simply OC Photography became a business in Huntington Beach, CA. Since then Amy went on to make booklets for other community centers, she has also added a selfie-booth and has ventured into commercial and food photography.
